The Hannah Rose Foundation

Shaken Baby Syndrome

1,200 and 1,600 children die every year in the United States from SBS. The Hannah Rose Foundation was formed to raise money to educate people about the fatal consequences of shaking your baby. It is our mission in life to prevent this from ever happening again to any child!

The California International Marathon was a big success.

Monday, December 3rd, 2007

The California International Marathon was a big success. We have raised money for the Placer County Child Abuse Prevention Center & The Hannah Rose Foundation. The run was fantastic and we finished in 4 hours on the button. I have to thank Martha Dominguez, Mark Dewitt, Troy Mulert for their training and commitment to our cause. Our focus remains clear on raising the level of awareness on Shaken Baby Syndrome. If you could please go to www.runforhannah.com and pledge whatever amount you can for our Run. Please remember that it’s 100% tax deduct able and it will go to a great cause. We are sending 50% of the donations to Placer County Child Abuse Prevention Center to help stop Child Abuse and aid them in Preventing Shaken Baby Syndrome. I ran the last leg of the Marathon’s relay race at approx. 10 minutes per mile for 5.7 miles. Our runners were inspired by Hannah and each ran 7 miles and 5.9 miles to total 26.2 miles in our first run together.

The run was dedicated to Hannah after Adam Horwitz my best friend ran in Los Angeles last March in the LA Marathon and pushed us to take further action in ways we never though we could. Adam ran the full 26.2 miles and was hospitalized after severe muscle breakdown and had a complete recovery in just days after the race. I still think he is our Hero and one of my biggest mentors in life. Please help us if you can as we really want to assist our community in the fight against Shaken Baby Syndrome.

Thank you,
Scott Juceam
