The Hannah Rose Foundation

Shaken Baby Syndrome

1,200 and 1,600 children die every year in the United States from SBS. The Hannah Rose Foundation was formed to raise money to educate people about the fatal consequences of shaking your baby. It is our mission in life to prevent this from ever happening again to any child!

Scott & Lorena Juceam Win 2009 Inspiration Award

April 8th, 2009

Scott & Lorena Juceam & Family

Dear friends,

Lorena and I would like to share some news we were given in the last few days. In Sacramento the Prevention Center every year has an event where citizens are honored for their efforts to help protect children from abuse. These citizens are nominated and then voted upon by the board of directors of the Sacramento Child Abuse Prevention Council to be honored with what is called Inspirations award. Lorena and I have won the 2009 Inspirations award for our continued mission to educate the world on Shaken Baby Syndrome.

On the night of May 15th at a very Prestigious Hotel in Sacramento we will accept this high honor and ask you to attend if you can to share this award and honor the memory of our daughter Hannah Rose Juceam.

On May 11th of this year it will be three years since Hannah was killed. Our family is still to this second mourning the loss of Hannah and will not stop our mission until every child is better protected and every family is educated about Shaken Baby Syndrome. Attached to this letter are links to the web pages that can give you information on this high profile event that will have people talking for years to come.

If you can join us at the event please make arrangements and let us know you will be there. Please also go to Hannah’s web page www.dontshakeyourbaby.com for further updates on this event and everything else going on in the world of Prevention.
