Second week of proceedings is over.

May 2nd, 2008

Dear Friends,

We thought that writing about the trial daily was going to be relatively easy. The pain related to our loss is so great that we are exhausted at the end of every day and there really is no way to go through it again and again day after day. We are holding up quite well to this point after the second week of proceedings. The trial is expected to last until late June. We are certain that the state is doing everything in their power to provide the jury with the information that will help them convict our former nanny for killing Hannah. We want to remind everyone that this trial never needed to take place. We asked the defendant to do the right thing and avoid this devastation that is taking place every day we walk into the court.

The trial is going as well as can be expected and our family is bonded and will continue to live and educate the public on Shaken Baby Syndrome. Please continue to pray for us and hope that this will end soon.
